The Fog Fest is a celebration of sun, sand, and surf that defines life on the coast.

The Fest was created in 1986 to promote Pacifica and to celebrate our marvelous coastal climate. The last full weekend of September was chosen because historically the weather is unbeatable.

The Fog Fest is a two-day Music and Arts & Crafts Fair with over 190 arts and craft booths, 3 stages of live entertainment, plenty of tasty food and drink to please any appetite, including the Fog Cutter, a specialty drink created for Fog Fest. 

Cafe eating areas have been expanded to include more seating.

SAND SCULPTURE ATTRACTION
Greg and Brandi Glenn, World Champion sand sculptors from SANDSCAPES, will be at the 2007 Pacific Coast Fog Fest again this year to create an amazing sand sculpture from 25 tons of sand. The results are a site to behold! Stop by the exhibition area at the Fog Fest to see them in action! Bring your camera.

GREEN FESTIVAL

Joining many other festivals around the country, the Fog Fest Organizing Group has decided to make a commitment to lessen our environmental footprint, while still staging the largest fest in town. In cooperation with Richard Pedemonte -our food vendor promoter-, Coastside Scavenger, and the Beach Coalition, we will implement several changes, both operational and educational.

All food and beverage booths will be using bio-degradable products. The Half Moon Bay Brewery will be participating in this effort too, of course. As always, you will also have the chance to purchase drinks in real glasses. The use of plastic will be discouraged everywhere. Coastside Scavenger will donate paper bags to the Arts and Crafts vendors which can be used instead of plastic ones.

Moving towards zero waste in the future involves creating a greater public awareness and putting out a large educational effort. The Beach Coalition will be assisting us with the educational effort on site. The "triangle waste stations", consisting of one bin each of the following categories: recycling-biodegradable - trash, will be supervised by people who are there to answer your questions and to supply additional information.

STARS AND STRIPES AMUSEMENT AREA
Again this year Fog Fest will feature a two-day amusement park area with air filled dragons, caterpillars, slides, jousting arenas, train rides and carnival-type basketball, ping pong ball toss games for prizes are available throughout the Fog Fest. Hermit crabs and lots of prizes for participants in this fun carnival area of the Fog Fest. Attractions are available for kids from 3 to 13 years of age. Fees to use amusements.

Another Anniversary
On Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m., the 25th Annual Fall Family Fun Fest will provide more free family fun. 

So come to Fog Fest 2007 and cheer for the parade, shop, eat, drink, play, visit with friends, listen to great music, dance, enjoy the beautiful weather, and just have the best time ever!
